About The Role

Role: Junior Business Development Executive

Location: London or Bracknell office (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Package: Up to £35k plus OTE plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year

Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm Monday – Friday

Role purpose:
 
To develop and increase ongoing revenues and margin contribution from New Business Public Sector accounts through proactive & re active sales of the full range of SCC products and services. The role is a perfect mix of sales, administration, data entry and customer service. As part of the role you will also ensure accurate data is kept in our CRM system to ensure excellent engagement with existing and potential customers.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Respond, identify and develop campaign sales opportunities within new business customers 
  • Respond to all leads generated quickly and capitalise on low hanging opportunities
  • Maintain and expect engagement with vendors and partners within the account base, managing these engagements to drive sales growth and rate of margin
  • Work effectively with SCC Solution experts in defining the right proposition for a specific client requirements
  • Effectively manage and grow long term customer relationships at all levels 
 
Skills and experience:
  • Good technology & services knowledge aligned to SCC focus areas and can articulate this well whilst communicating with the client
  • Proven experience/interest in the public sector and the strategies around this
  • Commercial awareness in the supply chain 
  • Demonstrable technology infrastructure and service sales experience and proven success driving product focused sales into public sector organisations
