Role: Microsoft Business Development Manager
Location: Bracknell (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)
Contract Type: Permanent

Role purpose:
The Microsoft Alliance Partner at SCC is responsible for managing and optimizing relationships with Microsoft, specifically focusing on Strategic and Accelerate vendors. This role involves building key stakeholder relationships, driving growth, maximizing value, and ensuring alignment with SCC's strategic goals.
Security clearance or the willingness to apply will be required for this role.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with Microsoft, serving as the primary point of contact for vendor-related issues and opportunities.
- Develop and execute dedicated growth plans for Microsoft PDM team, and manage MBR’s and QBR’s to review progress.
- Ensure the highest level of certifications and specializations for SCC across Modern Work, Security and Azure.
- Participate in Strategic Partner’s advisory boards, Microsoft events and drive marketplace partnerships.
- Build SCC’s co-selling capabilities with Microsoft to generate inbound referrals and brand awareness.
- Facilitate proactive engagements between SCC sales/account managers and their aligned sellers at Microsoft.
- Achieve targeted revenue and usage growth goals for the Microsoft Partnership.
- Improve overall commercial position through effective program management and incentive optimization.
- Maintain a robust vendor pipeline and deliver incremental opportunities to branches.
- Monitor and review SCC performance against agreed KPI’s and targets.
- Enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring high-quality vendor products and services.
- Ensure alignment of Microsoft activities with SCC’s strategic goals and customer use cases.
- Secure and effectively utilize marketing and resource funding such as co-op and MDF where applicable to support GTM initiatives.
- Drive operational excellence across the vendor relationship, maintaining and working towards new adv specialisations, maximising program ROI and ensuring back-end rebate payment.
- Expand reach through strategic alliances, opening doors to new markets and customers.
Skills and experience:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly.
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Ability to analyse market trends and vendor performance to optimize strategies.
- Skilled in planning and execution, with the ability to oversee projects from inception to completion.
- Deep understanding of the software and technology landscape relevant to the vendors managed.
- Business acumen and the ability to align vendor strategies with organizational goals.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration and mentorship.
- Extensive experience in vendor management within the technology sector.
- Familiarity with procurement and vendor management platforms like SAP Ariba.
