Role: UC Sales Operations Specialist 

Location: London (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Package: Competitive base salary plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year

Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm Monday – Friday

Role purpose:

To drive sales and business growth by leveraging expertise a range of UC technologies, providing strategic guidance to clients, fostering strong relationships with internal business units and branches which leverage SCC’s footprint and technology investments.  The role will also support various sales operations activity which will include management reporting and insights.  
 
Key responsibilities:
  • The Sales Specialist is recognised for their deep expertise in a specific field. They are seen as pivotal contributors who bring valuable knowledge and insights to their domain.
  •  Generate revenue by identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities related to UC solutions. This involves both growing existing accounts and acquiring new clients.
  • Owning the sales engagement strategy within your client set and to be able to clearly articulate SCC’s propositions.
  • Working closely with clients to understand their specific needs and challenges,  recommending tailored solutions that incorporate advanced UC technologies, helping clients achieve their business objectives.
  • Responsible for developing strategic plans for clients, proposing UC solutions, and ensuring these solutions are aligned with the client's long-term goals. This involves collaborating with technical teams to architect solutions that are scalable, reliable, and innovative.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with client, acting as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the selection and implementation UC solutions, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
  • At times, the UC Sales Specialist may require engaging with third parties whereby our solutions can be sold indirectly.  The candidate will ideally have experience of supporting large, complex and potentially international enterprise organisations.
  •  Staying at the forefront of industry trends, understanding the latest UC technologies, and positioning the company as a leader in these areas.
  • Using this expertise to influence both internal stakeholders and clients, shaping the company's market offerings and sales strategies.
  • Work closely with other departments, including core sales, product development, marketing, and technical support, to ensure that the solutions provided meet customer needs and are delivered effectively.
  • This role is critical in influencing and shaping new business strategies, policies, and practices. This responsibility extends to both external and internal customers, ensuring that the solutions and approaches they recommend are aligned with the overall business objectives.
  • Architecting complex solutions and developing strategic plans to help customers realize the benefits of next generation collaboration solutions
  • Responsible for identifying complex problems and developing purpose-driven solutions. These solutions often cater to specific customer needs and are critical for advancing business goals.
  • Significant customer engagement, ensuring that the strategies and solutions proposed are effectively implemented, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Consulting on Unified Communications and next generation collaboration solutions, including cloud based IP communication services to solve customer needs, driving growth within our existing clients and driving the acquisition of new clients.
  • The role will be responsible for the creation of management reporting to support funnel and win insights.  This will also expand to reporting on individual and team performance on monthly, quarterly and annual basis. 
Skills and experience:
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Technical Aptitude – with a understanding of the UC sales market and an aptitude to learn so that they can engage in a headline technical discussion. 
  • Consultative Mindset – would ideally be able to demonstrate where they have been able to successfully win a solution away from a major incumbent.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to develop strategic plans, and drive growth with a proven track record. 
  • Relationship Building – to enable strong working relationships with clients, partners and internal teams.
  • Resilience & Adaptability.
  • The ability to work effectively to analyse and interrogate data to support management reporting.
  • A Team Player who thrives in a competitive environment, but also able to work on their own.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
