Role: Cyber Sales Specialist 

Location: London (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Package: £60,000- £70,000 plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year

Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm Monday – Friday

Role purpose:

To drive sales and business growth by leveraging expertise in Cyber Security technologies, providing strategic guidance to clients, and fostering strong, long-term relationships.

Key responsibilities:

Drive Sales and Business Growth:

  • identifying, qualifying, and pursuing new cyber sales opportunities in the UK market as an overlay to SCC account holders.
  • Generate revenue by identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities related to Cyber Security solutions. This involves both growing existing accounts and acquiring new clients.
  • Owning the sales engagement strategy within your client set and to be able to clearly articulate SCC’s propositions.
  • managing your sales pipeline and forecast, as well as reporting on sales performance and activities.

 Consultative Selling:

  • Working closely with clients to understand their specific needs and challenges,  recommending tailored solutions that incorporate advanced Cyber Security technologies, helping clients achieve their business objectives.
  • presenting and demonstrating the value and benefits of cyber solutions to customers and prospects, as well as addressing their pain points and needs.
  • developing and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers in the customer organisations, as well as with MSP partners and vendors.
  • creating and delivering compelling proposals, bids, and contracts for cyber opportunities, as well as negotiating and closing deals.

Planning and Solution Architecture:

  • responsible for developing strategic plans for clients, designing complex Cyber Security solutions, and ensuring these solutions are aligned with the client's long-term goals. This involves collaborating with technical teams to architect solutions that are scalable, reliable, and innovative.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with client, acting as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the selection and implementation of Cyber Security solutions, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

Market Leadership and Expertise:

  • Staying at the forefront of industry trends, understanding the latest Cyber Security technologies, and positioning the company as a leader in these areas.
  • Using this expertise to influence both internal stakeholders and clients, shaping the company's market offerings and sales strategies.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Work closely with other departments, including core sales, product development, marketing, and technical support, to ensure that the solutions provided meet customer needs and are delivered effectively
  • collaborating with technical and delivery teams to ensure smooth and successful delivery of cyber solutions, as well as providing feedback and insights to improve the products and services.
  • provide input and feedback to the Product and Marketing teams to drive relevance and quality of collateral.

Influencing and Shaping Strategies:

  • This role is critical in influencing and shaping new business strategies, policies, and practices. This responsibility extends to both external and internal customers, ensuring that the solutions and approaches they recommend are aligned with the overall business objectives.
  • Architecting complex solutions and developing strategic plans to help customers realize the benefits of next generation collaboration solutions

Problem-Solving:

  • Responsible for identifying complex problems and developing purpose-driven solutions. These solutions often cater to specific customer needs and are critical for advancing business goals.

Key Customer Engagement:

  • Significant customer engagement, ensuring that the strategies and solutions proposed are effectively implemented, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  •  Consulting on Cyber Security solutions, including to solve customer needs, driving growth within our existing clients and driving the acquisition of new clients
Skills and experience:
  • strong background in cyber sales, preferably with experience in a variety of environments including the Hyperscalers’ platforms.
  • a proven track record of generating new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and closing deals in the IT services sector.
  • excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to articulate the value proposition and benefits of cloud solutions to various stakeholders.
  • well versed in typical managed services offerings around the Cyber solutions, vendors and platforms.
  • good understanding of the UK market and the challenges and opportunities faced by MSPs in the cyber space.
  • Demonstrable sales experience, preferably in a similar role or organisation.
  • experience working in a proactive overlay role; working with Account directors and Account managers to target their accounts with suitable value propositions to create opportunities in cyber.
  • experience in selling cyber services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and public sector organisations in the UK.
  • experience in working with MSP partners and vendors to deliver end-to-end cyber solutions, including infrastructure, security, migration, and support.
  • experience in developing and executing account plans, sales strategies, and proposals for cyber opportunities.
  • experience in negotiating contracts and terms with customers and suppliers, as well as managing the sales cycle and pipeline.
  • experience in collaborating with technical and delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • preferably have experience of developing Sales Overlay teams and demonstrating growth through constant refinement and improvement
