Role: Customer Support Engineer
Location: Warrington, onsite
Contract Type: Permanent, full time
Salary Package: Competitive base salary, use of company vehicle, plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year
Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm, Monday – Friday - there may be a requirement to work varying shifts covering 08:00am till 6:00pm

Role purpose:
This role will be based on a customer site where you will be configuring applications & hardware on new & existing IT related devices including desktops, laptops, servers, mobile phones and any other related IT Devices. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive team with true career growth pathways.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactively manage all calls efficiently and advise the customer of problems and keep them informed and updated of the planned resolution, escalating calls where necessary.
- Liaise with and provide assistance as requested to 3rd party IT Company’s both off and on site
- Configure applications and hardware on new and existing IT related devices
- Provide support to VIP users, with a tight SLA if applicable
- Ensure Timely and responsive communications both to internal and external stakeholders as required.
Skills and experience:
- Competent in Technical ability in hardware breakfix, software & operating systems to support the customer to their required standards on the hardware, software and systems
- Able to obtain the required level of security clearance (with no caveats) required to fulfil all operational requirements of the role.
- Full UK Driving licence is required
- Good problem solving skills
- Familiarity with network operating systems, MS Office and have a good understanding of current Windows operating systems and using remote software.
