Role: Talent Delivery Lead (Sales)
Location: Birmingham or Manchester (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary Package: £44,000 - £47,000 plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year
Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm Monday – Friday. We also offer the opportunity to benefit from a Core Hours arrangement (role-specific), providing flexibility around your personal needs

Role purpose:
This role will focus on understanding the organisational sales strategy and its future capability needs in order to identify learning priorities across the sales function. On an individual level, the role will be responsible for the development, ownership, and evolution of a continuous learning curriculum for our new SCC Sales Academy from Onboarding to ongoing professional development and working with the Sales Enablement team ensuring continuity in delivery of future enablement programmes. As part of the Talent Team, this role will also support and champion the ongoing development and deployment of development initiatives under our Learning Management (STAR) and Performance Management (PEAK) platforms.
Key responsibilities:
- Development, management, and delivery of a programme of learning initiatives under the Sales Academy banner, contributing to improved sales performance and capabilities, utilising a multitude of resources and training methods.
- Be a trusted advisor on industry best practise and keep up to date with current trends and developments.
- Partner with the Sales Enablement and Leadership Teams to identify the most critical training needs and plan and implement activities under the Sales Academy banner, relating to Onboarding, Upskilling and Leadership (in partnership with wider Talent Team).
- Partner closely with other Talent team professionals to ensure learning experiences are fun, engaging and help sellers adopt new skills and behaviours, and utilise STAR (our LMS) where appropriate.
- Support our performance cycle and sales related activities under the PEAK (Performance Evaluation Assessment Kit) banner.
- Support our people strategy by contributing towards a culture of continuous learning & growth, being an ambassador within SCC for personal development and being a stakeholder in the roll-out of a defined competency model.
- Analyse training effectiveness against success indicators, maintain ongoing communication and delivery of relevant training metrics and success outcomes to key stakeholders
Skills and experience:
- An experienced, commercially focused, and proven sales professional, with evidenced ability to train and coach across both field and inside sales, with a desirable technical/IT industry knowledge.
- A strategic thinker, with the ability to set and deliver against long term plans whilst also delivering quick wins into the business.
- Proven successful experience of designing, delivery and reviewing training programmes which have high impact.
- Knowledge of developments in learning delivery methods (Instructor led, e-learning, self-study modules).
- Excellent communicator with the ability to explain complex subject areas in a clear and engaging manner.
- Demonstrate evidence of senior stakeholder management.
- An analytical thinker with the ability to track and report on learner engagement.
