Role: Renewals Transformation Manager

Location: Bracknell (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Package: £65,000 - £80,000 plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year

Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm Monday – Friday

Role purpose:
 
As the Renewals Transformation Manager, you will lead the design, execution, and evolution of a best-in-class renewals business across all relevant Business Units, with an immediate focus on Software and Enterprise. The purpose of this role is to design and deliver a data-driven renewals function that delivers measurable commercial impact—maximizing customer retention, profitability (upsell/x-sell) and process efficiency.

This role will be responsible for aligning cross-functional teams, defining scalable processes and championing automation initiatives that elevate the customer experience and internal execution. Through strategic vendor partnerships, close engagement with our product/service teams and change management across our Sales organisation, SCC are looking to shape a culture where renewals are not just reactive—but a proactive growth engine.

This is a highly visible role, offering the opportunity to influence business-critical operations in a £1bn VAR organisation and to embed lasting transformation at the heart of our commercial lifecycle

Key responsibilities:
 
Transformation
Own and drive the overall renewals strategy and transformation roadmap, ensuring alignment with business growth objectives and influencing culture change for the adoption of renewal best practices
Build a business benefit statement and report ongoing measurable business benefits from the transformation programme
Lead transformation initiatives, embedding best practices, refining internal operational models (people and process) and delivering continuous improvement
Understand the short-term wins, with the longer-term strategy, aligning to business goals
Be accountable for training and enablement strategies for Sales and Operational teams

Engagement / Enhancements
Lead cross-functional engagement, working closely with commercial, sales, finance, and vendor teams to optimise renewals outcomes
Develop scalable processes that enhance renewals efficiency, drive retention, and improve profitability, with an immediate focus on our Software and Enterprise businesses

Finance and Retention:

Analyse revenue and margin performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring commercial viability, supported by a Business Analyst, specifically from Renewals process improvements
Champion churn analytics and integrate NPS scores or insights into the workflow, embedding “Voice of the Customer” feedback into revised processes

Technology
Champion technology and automation, leveraging insights and data-driven approaches to optimise renewals management
Define the target tech stack and influence future tooling decisions
Be a stakeholder for the CPQ project, ensuring alignment with Renewal requirements and engagement with other stakeholders across the business (Sales Operations, Quoting Operations and Order operations)

 
Skills and experience:
Extensive experience in Renewals Management within a VAR or Software technology-focused business
Strong background in strategy development and operational transformation
Proven ability to manage revenue and margin performance, driving profitability and retention
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, capable of fostering collaboration across diverse teams
Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making capabilities
Experience in change management, process optimisation, and automation within renewals
Strong knowledge of key vendors and ideally licensing/renewals frameworks
