Role: Volume Quoting Team Leader

Location: Manchester (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)

Contract Type: Permanent

Role purpose:
This is a key role in driving customer experience across SCC reselling business and particularly in support of the Digital Workspace and collaboration BU’s. Responsibility will be focused on managing the offshore quoting team in place to carry out volume quoting across the SCC business.  

Role will include:
Being part of the management team providing a high-quality experience of quoting for the SCC customers
Working with Vendor Operations Manager to ensure all team processes are agreed and documented
Driving continued service improvement and enhancing customer experience
Making sure that the offshore team are regarded as an extension of the SCC UK function

In order to fulfil this role, the job holder must be available to travel to SCC Romania offices to meet with the team on a regular basis (minimum once a quarter once team is established)
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Be the primary contact for the offshore quoting team within the business and as such be avail-able to attend workshops/meetings in SCC Romania office as required during initial go live period
  • Continuously review service and performance against SLAs set by the business looking for cost and margin improvements 
  • Ensure that the team are provided with initial and ongoing commercial training on key vendor technologies to ensure best price is being provided to the business using appropriate pricing structures / programmes / bid process as relevant
  • Ensuring that the team are working to agreed processes and procedures
  • Ensure the team have access to all relevant tools to create customer facing quotations in ap-propriate format with any associated documentation as necessary
  • Maintain communication with the sales teams, vendors and UK supply chain on an ongoing basis to continually ensure the service is fit for purpose
  • Ensure proactive deal registration & bid/pricing management on smaller deals. 
  • Generate reports on a regular basis using the data that is generated by the team and look for trends that will assist SCC in developing a better position in the marketplace
  • Ensure department complies with all company policies and procedures
  • Be responsible for delivering excellent standards in customer service
  • Be responsible for any first line escalations/issue resolution
  • Gather customer feedback (internally and externally) to allow quality benchmark of the service that is being delivered
Skills and experience:
  • Proven experience in industry and sound technology background 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Track record of managing teams – experience with remote teams preferred
  • Understanding of the process of managing quotations 
  • Good analytical and commercial skills
  • Extremely organised and able to multi task
